This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
Duties
As a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, you will:
Review existing systems to determine needed enhancements, plan system modifications, manage contract support activities, ensure accounting financial system integration, manage system control reference tables, manage application security, and provide support for various audits.
Coordinate with the Office of the Chief Information Officer to oversee software implementation, obtain user acceptance, provide system training and provide technical assistance to users, and maintain day-to-day system operations.
Design develops system reports, develop procedures, manage annual close system processes, assist in the preparation of annual system budgets, and act as liaison with program and field users to ensure systems are responding to internal and external clients.
Direct and control the development, coordination and maintenance relating to the design, adaptation, installation, evaluation and/or revision of automated accounting and financial management systems.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Formulating financial management requests and ongoing analysis of financial systems performance; AND
Supervising or leading staff in the development and execution of policies to improve the management, control, and productivity of financial resource and associated organizations and systems; AND
Implementing production system operations within an Oracle-based Cloud Computing environment; AND
Providing direction and solutions to managers/officials on financial management policies and procedures.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
