About the Position: Position belongs to U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), Brigade (BDE), S-3 Operations Division, Operations Branch that supports the Operations Branch by performing military human resources (HR) administrative support duties. Employee supports the BDE's Unit Status Brief (USB), awards board, mentorship program, and evaluates the recruiting support program. The primary duty is to record and compile statistical production data for historical and comparative analysis.

Duties
Prepare briefing packets for training being provided in support of subordinate battalions.
Provide guidance and assistance to the commanders on the Enlistment Standards Program (ESP) to ensure actions adhere to regulations.
Consolidate information provided in the automated Enlistment Standards Functional Area Analysis Package into one report for the Commander.
Inspect portions of the guidance counselor and operations functional areas, as well as all aspects of the ESP. Compose written findings to be used in the official report.
Serve as battalion representative at on-site inspection, observing and providing information to functional areas. Receive, file, and maintain information pertaining to production related programs.
Provide updates on mission accomplishments weekly, or as required, by obtaining data from computer system and compiling production reports for Command staff.
Make required entries into military HR databases capturing recruitment status.
Maintain statistics, which reflect the number of applicants reviewed.
Set up files for the program and prepare any necessary correspondence. Responsible for review and analysis of a wide variety of briefing materials obtained from various sources for use by superiors in staff meetings, management updates, etc.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
