You will serve as a Pneudraulics Systems Mechanic in the Production Trades Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will read and interpret blueprints to assemble or disassemble pneudraulic systems subassemblies and components. You will repair and test components (e.g., pneumatic valves, cooling turbines, hydromechanical fuel control subassemblies, electro-hydraulic servos) using pneudraulic, hydraulic, and basic electrical and mechanical principles. You will disassemble hydraulic and pneumatic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, and components to access parts for inspection or repair. You will perform dynamic, static pressure, pump performance, and electrical tests of components in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will use physical principles governing the behavior of fluids (e.g., liquid, gas) when troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems or cryogenic equipment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Assemble/disassemble hydraulic pneumatic systems; Diagnose the cause of operational failures to determine repairs; troubleshoot and repair problems that occur during testing. ; Recording test performance parameters; replacing prescribed parts; checking the dimensions and tolerances and determining serviceability of parts; performing testing of Pneudraulic components using knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical principles; determining the condition of tested components; using prints, schematics, manuals, and technical documents; operating precision measuring dimensional and pressure devices; operating electrical and electronic measuring devices; using a variety of hand tools. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
