Manages the agency's nationwide fleet of vehicles and provides transportation services for executives, special events or by request. Administers mail policy, facilitates mailroom operations and manages mail digital meter equipment for all agency mail sites. Supervises the Transportation Team and the Mail and Postal Policy Team (MPPT). See QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES for more information about this position.

Duties

Evaluates supervisors and non-supervisory personnel and conducts performance management activities. Provides expert advice and staff services to all levels of SSA management for all team activities. Participates in developing project objectives, priorities and procedures for a wide variety of mail and transportation initiatives. Ensures proper coordination and cooperation within DMLS teams, and with other teams not under the incumbent's immediate supervision. Serves as the primary contact for all managers and staff throughout SSA concerning all ongoing and special projects involving mail and transportation activities. Performs oversight of the SSA GSA Fleet of vehicles. Provides efficient and economical transportation services to support individual, unit or group utilization throughout SSA Headquarters and regions using government owned or leased vehicles. Provides advice and guidance on United States Postal Service (USPS) regulations, procedures and rates.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To qualify for this GS-14 Supervisory Management Analyst (Division Director) position you must demonstrate at least 52 weeks of Specialized Experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE must have been gained in a federal position at or above GS-13 OR (if your position and/or experience is in another federal pay scale OR outside of federal service) by performing duties at a level equivalent to GS-13 or above. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is work that primarily consists of planning, directing, coordinating and developing project objectives, priorities and procedures for a wide variety of mail and transportation initiatives. If you have this experience, your resume must describe, in your own words, the duties you perform that meet these requirements. Since Specialized Experience also has a time component, it must be evident that the duties you describe are at the required level for at least 52 weeks. Reviewers cannot assume you perform duties you don't describe. An affirmative response to the online questionnaire is not sufficient to demonstrate experience. Your resume must show complete dates (month/day/year) for each position described (and if your position is or was federal, your grade at the time experience was gained).
