You will serve as a SUVP LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Submarine Logistics and Product Support Directorate of NAVSEA PMO. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This hiring activity, within Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) Headquarters, has converted to the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) which is an alternate personnel system.

Duties

You will lead and supervise the planning, coordination, and/or evaluation of the product support actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. You will manage the package of support functions required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of major weapon systems, subsystems, and components. You will utilize predictive analysis and modeling tools to define and/or improve product support. You will develop and implement product support strategies integrating functions of design to cost, Product Support analyses, maintenance planning, provisioning, sustainment, modernization, and readiness to meet operational availability thresholds. You will develop updates to manning documentation and plans.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "Managing logistics and product support to include analyzing program data to ensure programmatic efficiency in support of submarine program."
