You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will initiate, identify, and coordinate procurement orders for all planned maintenance and departmental requirements necessary to support LCS class ship PMAV’s, Maintenance Executive Team (MET) and Production Department.
You will serve as the point of contact for all issues relating to MET acquisition, material procurement, expediting, tracking, distribution and transporting.
You will provide technical research assistance and logistic support as required by the MET and Production Departments.
You will track and expedite material shipments from initial Point of Embarkation (POE) to their respective destinations.
You will manage and verify procedures involved with the identification, procurement, receipt, inspection, and storage of Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) for the MET and Production Department.
You will identify any changes in availability plans, highlight any potential or actual long time lead procurement requests or potential material support deficiencies.
You will conduct root-cause analyses for any material not received, and initiate and implement plans to prevent future re-occurrences.
You will develop weekly status reports for all current and upcoming PMAV maintenance availabilities and other departmental funding requirements.
You will provide weekly status reports, briefings, meetings, presentations, and/or conferences to upper level management.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience identifying, initiating and coordinating procurement orders for all planned maintenance and necessary to support LCS class ship PMAV's.
Experience evaluating the effectiveness of logistics systems, plans and programs, integrating functional applications, and resolving systemic problems.
Experience performing technical work in support of Integrated Logistics.
Experience using various automated data processing (ADP) databases and systems for determining material availability, procurement, tracking, expediting, and performing technical research.
Experience communicating effectively with both government and non-government agencies orally and in writing.
Experience gathering, interpreting, organizing, and presenting data and supporting analysis to resolve logistics problems to upper-level management.
Experience reading MRC Cards, MCA forms, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Experience planning, implementing, and managing a broad spectrum of logistics support material.
Experience identifying problems and developing innovative solutions.

Education
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
