This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Learning and Diffusion Group (LDG) .
As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-15, you will serve as the Deputy Group Director with overall responsibility for the administration of managing the operations of multiple LDG initiatives.
Duties
Exercise supervisory authority over staff in conjunction with the Group Director. In the absence of the Director, supervise, direct and coordinate the work for a staff of civilian personnel GS-07 through GS-15.
Work with Director to plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Advise the Director of the overall operations of multiple LDG initiatives focused on improving payment and service delivery models utilizing a broad array of learning network techniques.
Serve as a technical expert and resource to Group Director and CMMI leadership on issues related to improving payment and service delivery models while utilizing a broad arrayof learning principles.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships through mutual understanding of providers' needs and concerns while simultaneously engaging providers in CMS goals.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Manage, design or develop projects or studies related to healthcare payment reform; (2) Plan, organize, or assess work activities for employees or teams to ensure that program operational goals are met; AND (3) Coordinate projects that aim to improve quality and access of a healthcare program..
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
