The Wilson Center is one of the three special institutions created by congressional statute to perform a national mission in affiliation with the Smithsonian Institution. It is governed by its own presidentially appointed Board of Trustees and supported by public and private funds. The Center conducts and sponsors original scholarship and convenes balanced and inclusive dialogue through its programs, which cover all regions of the world and several major global issues.
Duties
This position is within the Development department of the Wilson Center. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you meet the required specialized experience requirement:
Specialized Experience:to qualify you must have at least one (1) year of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following types of duties:
General knowledge of accounting, business finances, budget creation and implementation;
Managing information systems such as, but not limited to, Priority, EveryAction or other inventory or sales processing database/computer systems;
Proficient skill with Microsoft Office suite, specifically with Excel;
Understanding of basic fundraising strategies pertaining to individual donors;
Proficient skill in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation used in correspondence with both external and internal stakeholders.

One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
