Requirements

- 1-year probationary period required unless met during prior Federal service

Qualifications
All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the private sector processing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) requests and coordinating research. Examples include processing and coordinating disclosure requests involving the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office Management and Budget (OMB), offices of the Inspector General (OIG), the public, the press and/or requester’s representatives; reviewing and analyzing FOIA requests, records, and appeals; and providing technical direction and administering the proper application of Executive Order 12600 in processing cases containing proprietary or trade secret information.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.
