The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Accounting and Finance Division, Financial Systems and Reporting Branch. The branch is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Financial Management System (FMS), Treasury Invoice Processing Platform (IPP), Maximo Inventory Control System and other related systems for the AOC.

We seek an experienced leader with a strategic focus to serve as the Financial Systems Program Manager.

Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes:
Expert knowledge of theories, practices, methods, and techniques of accounting.
Ability to use analytical techniques to solve a variety of accounting problems and to function effectively in monitoring accounting systems covering operations and expenses for such items as procurement, inventory management, contract management, budget, and payroll systems.
Experience with all phases of the system development life cycle for accounting and reporting systems and operating programs.
Strong decision-making skills to resolve problems that require considerable innovation and originality in determining the nature and extent of problem areas.
