About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Stewart, GA.
Duties
Dispose and/or direct disposal of records in accordance with established procedures.
Update and order publications and forms as required.
Assume secretarial duties in absence of senior leader’s secretary employee.
Serve as point of contact for preparation of Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) orders.
Utilize computer hardware and/or software to maintain correspondence.
Consolidate program input to formulate data as assigned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation.
- Temporary duty travel of 5% will be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Perform office administrative and/or clerical functions on automated system for an organization; 2) Review documents for accuracy and compliance within applicable regulations/policies; and 3) Perform research to collect data for special and one-time reports independently.
TYPING REQUIREMENT: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
