About the Position: Serves as Department of Army (DA) Program Manager for the following Department of Defense (DOD) incentive pay programs: Aviation Career Incentive Pay (ACIP), Aviator Continuation Pay (ACP), and various special pays to include Demolition Duty Pay, Diving Duty Pay, Experimental Stress Pay,Toxic Pesticides Pay, Overseas Tour Extension Incentive Pay (OTEIP), and Special Duty Assignment Pay (SOAP).
Duties
Manages Army incentive pay programs
Researches DODI, Army Regulations, and US code to ensure Army compliance
Execute regulations developed by HQDA G-1 regarding incentive and special pay
Adapts established policy to specific problems not covered by regulations
Develops policy and procedures relating to DA policy on rated aviators
Advises Army Board for Correction of Military Records and other outside agencies on decisions
Provides advisory decisions on pay and entitlements and policy to external agencies
Responds to inquiries received about Army Incentive Pay
Interprets and provides guidance to MILPO's and DOD agencies by telephone and correspondence concerning policies and procedures
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience Required:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
