This position is in the Space and Alterations Branch (SAB, "the Branch"), Office of Facilities and Administrative Services (OFAS), Office of the Secretary (OS), U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI). The incumbent provides customer-driven, cost-effective, quality products and services in a team-based environment by supporting alterations and renovations for the Stewart Lee Udall Building.

Duties

Assists Space Management Specialists with planning for alterations projects and how to achieve the highest and best use of space. Assists in answering customer service requests via phone or email. Implements, supports, and maintains records and filing systems to project and operations as assigned. Create and edit documents using MS-Office and Adobe Acrobat. Performs special nonrecurring projects requiring specialized expertise regarding the management of assigned real-property assets, financial planning and budget execution, and special needs of the organization. Project tracking and documentation.

Qualifications

At the GS-12level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes: Directing and coordinating minor alteration and renovation projects; maintaining customer satisfaction programs including feedback mechanisms used to evaluate the effectiveness of services provided; supporting space management, moving, and alterations planning; managing or monitoring real property budgetary and financial data; and, contract administration and oversight (e.g., moving services, construction, historic restoration, design contracts). Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
