The incumbent will serve as the Assistant Director of the Facilities Team within the Criminal Division (CRM). This position plans, coordinates, and directs facility operations for the entire division. CRM's facility portfolio includes four buildings in Washington, D.C. along with off sites in Los Angeles, CA and Baton Rouge, LA. This position coordinates and manages all other sites CRM shares with various U.S. Attorney's offices throughout the country.
Duties
As a Supervisory Building Management Specialist (Assistant Director), you will:
Provide oversight on complex, large, or sensitive space usage, construction, or renovation projects.
Provide advice on the space, building, and facilities management, project administration and project scheduling of multiple building and space utilization projects.
Coordinate with senior Division officials, General Services Administration, Department of Justice, and partner agencies who are responsible for defining the goals of projects, working with them to prepare project plans for accomplishing such goals.
Work with Division management on the reduction/expansion of existing lease space, build-out or 'fit-out' of new lease space in an existing building, and new lease constructs.
Resolve complex design, space utilization, and construction related problems or conflicts impeding progress, assuring that contractor and Division staffs work effectively toward timely completion of projects.
Manage and supervise the Facilities team in charge of building services management of multiple leased building and shared federal buildings

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-13 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as providing direction and oversight of the planning, execution, coordination and evaluation of space and building projects; providing advice and guidance to senior decision-makers that influence high-level program and project activities; and planning and drafting high level communications to go out to a wide audience related to building matters.
