You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will serve as the Configuration Manager (CM), responsible for the overall accountability for
ensuring the suitability of the Configuration Management process.
You will be responsible for defining and implement manageable CM processes, installing CM technology and integrating the CM technology with other technologies.
You will facilitate communication in the system development process, direct regular technical meetings with the system developers and business analyst to obtain status of the project, and discuss and resolve problems.
You will communicate with end users, management, developers and vendors, and direct responses to customers.
You will provide management advisory and technical services in support of Information Systems and associated applications.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a final TS/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Evaluating and making recommendations on reports that addresses customer and management requirements and facilitating the business needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products.
2. Evaluating performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and institutes actions to correct shortcomings.
3. Ensuring regular housekeeping of the Configuration Management System data and the appropriate security and access levels to the Configuration Management System are accurate.
