You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION of PERS WASHINGTON.
Duties
You will serve as the principal advisor to the Deputy Comptroller making recommendations concerning financial decisions that involve spend plan analysis, realizing budgetary constraints and creating funding strategies.
You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommends alternatives for corrective action.
You will provide managers with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations ensuring financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy and validity of accounting, budget, and financial information.
You will Identify and analyze problems; weigh relevance and accuracy of information; seek/generate and evaluate alternative perspectives/solutions; make timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions.
You will plan work, set priorities, schedule work, evaluate employee performance, provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction, interview candidates, recommend hiring selections, and hear and resolve employee complaints.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating, presenting and defending budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; 2) Reviewing and evaluating budget requests to ensure alignment with organizational objectives; 3) Analyzing, monitoring and reporting obligations and expenditures to assess fiscal performance; and 4) Providing technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction to subordinate financial personnel.
