About the Position: Serve as a senior staff-level Equal Employment Specialist responsible for continuing and special projects related to strategic planning and analysis; program evaluation; annual/multi-year and long-range fiscal resource planning; and/or manpower standards for the Directorate of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs.

Duties

Serve as a senior staff-level Equal Employment Specialist responsible for program evaluation for the Directorate of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs. Develop studies to identify EEO matters relative to the serviced civilian population. Formulate short-and-long-range EEO resource and planning requirements based on mission requirements. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Establish and maintain contacts with federal agencies, national civil rights organizations and professional consultants for the purpose of establishing and maintaining effective two-way communication.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for duration of employment.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of this position's time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human ResourcesOral CommunicationProgram ManagementReporting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
