About the Position: The primary responsibility of this position is to manage, plan and organize the activities of the call center and patient appointment system, which employs a computerized method of providing primary care and specialty appointments within a large military treatment facility, and troop medical clinics for active-duty military, retirees, and their family members.

Duties

Responsible for the appointment booking in Military Health Systems Genesis (MHS Genesis) for a Medical Center Military Treatment Facility, and two Troop Medical Facilities. Responsible for the technical operation of the MHS Genesis and T-Metrix operating systems and any software changes and upgrades. Serves as the medical center Command consultant for the appointing process and issues involving scheduling of physician appointments, consult management, and execution of TRICARE Primary Care Manager (PCM) business office services. Serves as the point of contact for the medical center patient appointment system. Responsible for the administrative supervision over the Call Center patient appointment system.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

OR Education: Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
