You will serve as a OFFICE MANAGER in the Research and Development Group, Cyber Systems Security Engineering Dept of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will provide administrative support to the Weapons System Security Engineering (WSPER) Department at NAWCWD. You will be answering telephone calls, greeting official victors, and arranging for proper identification/passes. You will ensure office equipment is maintained and the office is appropriately supplied, including ordering routine office supplies. You will be responsible for assisting with document preparation such as preparing, editing, formatting, and routing correspondence, including LOS awards, official letters, memoranda, transmittals, and naval messages. You will be responsible for maintaining current employee rosters, and organization charts. You will be responsible maintaining office filing, processing training requests, and tracking mandatory training for the division/Dept.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (DG-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: : 1) Experience utilizing Defense Travel System (DTS); 2) Demonstrating experience preparing naval correspondence;3) Creating /processing travel vouchers; 4) Preparing standard correspondence, reports and other documents ensuring proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and format in accordance with the Naval Correspondence Manual. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of four years of education above high school level
