You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST at the United States Naval Academy.
Pay range for the GS 7 will be $53105 to $69035
Pay range for the GS 9 will be $64957 to $84441
Duties
You will support and augment the work of senior HR Specialists in a higher education environment.
You will independently manage and serve as one of the primary touchpoints for new hire orientation at the USNA.
You will serve as the front office point-of-contact
You will process various awards and other certificates.
You will be computer proficient in (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Adobe). You will have experience communicating verbally and in-writing.
Requirements

Qualifications
FOR THE GS 9
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Administrating two or more HR programs such as: New Employee Orientation/onboarding; awards; Telework, and non-recruitment actions (reassignments, promotions); 2) Preparing HR documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), reports, guidance, and correspondence; 3) Working with customers, both internal and external, in HR related matters; and advising customers on routine human resources related issues and programs; 4) Reviewing requests for information regarding human resources programs and issues, identifying the nature of the issues involved, and researching guidelines to identify the general policies and procedures that apply to their solutions; 5) Supporting senior HR specialists with tasks involved with staffing and operations.
FOR THE GS 7
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Prepare requests for personnel actions while communicating with senior HR specialists and faculty supervisors; 2) Navigating and filing government paperwork, completing case files, and working with several informational database systems; 3) Performing customer service duties while working with computers and office applications to execute duties and prepare documents; 4) Utilizing HRIS systems to include but not limited to: DCPDS, MyBiz+, HR Link, TWMS and USA Staffing

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
FOR THE GS 7
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
