About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
You may need to complete a 3 year probationary period, if applicable.
This position is with 7th HQ in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Prepare monthly reports covering status of funds by operation as required.
Provide financial advisory services for assigned portions of the command budget. Provides management with financial information such as: financial reports showing the status of commitments, obligations, and disbursements of funds.
Execute assigned portions of the organization's budget.
Allocate funds to individual activities/functional areas based on an analysis of activity budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding.
Provide input to higher headquarters for the command budget or a portion.
Implement budget policy and procedures.
Review, analyze, edit, and consolidate budget submissions.
Plan, develop, implement, and maintain budget/financial systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by experience preforming various Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) functions involving the formulation, justification, and execution of budgets for assigned activities, programs, or projects; knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of budgeting and budget execution; knowledge in administering assigned portions of the organization's budget for one or more funds (i.e., Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA), Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO), Other Procurement, Army (OPA), etc.) or projects; participating in the justification and prioritization of unfinanced requirements; and executing fund control responsibilities for Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and other appropriated funds received to include certifying funds availability on all obligation documents.
