Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.   To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level (starting salary $104,008), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal government, State government or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Researching, developing, and assisting in implementing internal policies, procedures, and systems and; Reviewing grant applications in accordance with regulations and policies and; Assisting grantees with the administration of grant programs ( e.g., development of investment justifications, providing information regarding applications, administration of grant awards, monitoring, and grant closures.) Public speaking, delivering presentations to various sized groups.  ANDMaster's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, applied sciences, law, or other fields related to the position is qualifying for GS-11 research positions. Total undergraduate and graduate study must have included at least 9 semester hours in mathematics and statistics and 9 semester hours in economics. Degree work must have included independent study or research in regulatory impact.
