About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician for the Directorate of Emergency Services under general supervision of the Division Chief using a practical knowledge of a wide range of supply program operations to perform substantive, work of various types.
Duties
Responsible for requisition, receipt, storage, issue, inventory, and disposal of property, equipment, and supplies, ranging from publications and general office supplies through special test equipment, repair parts and furniture.
Reconcile inventory results and related supply transactions ensuring property book descriptions and items match, in accordance with appropriate regulations and guidelines.
Incumbent is responsible for obtaining expendable supplies, non-expendable supplies or equipment, and services as needed for the Directorate of Emergency Services.
Serve as a Government Purchase Card Cardholder.
Responsible for implementation, oversight, and coordination of the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee must be able to obtain/maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program. Random drug testing.
- The incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government driver's license with Hazardous Material Endorsement.
- The incumbent is required to take the required Hazardous Material Course.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Utilize supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to supply management; 2. Use a government or organizational credit card to purchase supplies and maintain credit records; and 3. Verify property book entries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
