About the Position: Serves as the Supply Technician in the Battalion Consolidated Supply Office performing duties in the support of the following organizations: 2nd Battalion, 6th Air Defense Artillery Battalion, 30th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Duties

Develop and implement internal supply operating procedures for equipment management. Account for and stores a wide variety of supplies, property, and equipment in the stock record account. Develop budget estimates for consideration by decision-makers. Develop and coordinate organizational supply standards, procedures, and regulatory guidance. Serve as a Supply Technician in the Supply and Services Division. Compile and analyze logistical/supply reports and feeder data. Prepare capital requirements for the various activities serviced. Schedule inspections, compiles data and provides findings and recommendations on deficiencies to the Director. Manage government purchase card policies and procedures to ensure card is used for official government purposes only.

Requirements

  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated.
  • This position requires a pre-placement medical and annual medical surveillance exam in accordance with Occupational Health requirements.
  • Secret clearance is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Use knowledge of supply regulations, policies and procedures to maintain accurate accounting and reporting systems; Prepare procedures for inventories to participate in the inventory process; Provide support in conducting investigations to determine causes of inventory discrepancies; and use an automated supply system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Self-Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
