About the Position: Fort Liberty is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Develops scope and method of work to accomplish repair and/or replacement of HVAC systems, architectural, plumbing, electrical, civil works, pavements, utilities and Mold remediation. Justifies the engineering rationale and policies of assigned projects through written and oral communications to facility program managers and supervisors. Negotiates quantities, labor, equipment, etc., with contractors for DOC Ordering Officers and prepares contract documents for signature reflecting same. Develops work schedule, monitors progress of work, develops supporting documentation for construction modifications, supports government inspectors by clarifying questions that develop pertaining to original intent. Attends site visits and conducts meetings, with the Ordering Officer as necessary to develop project agreements between the customer, other DPW action officers, contractor representatives, and others. Initiates and coordinates clearances for all work order projects whether or not assigned for development.

• Must successfully pass physical examinations as required by Federal and Office of Safety and Occupational Health Administration guides.
• This position is designated as essential during inclement weather.
• Incumbent may be subject to a one-year probationary period.
