This position is located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR), HQ Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas related to formulation, justification, preparation, submission, control, and monitoring of the budget and various reports and data.

Duties
Serves as the principal advisor and technical expert for the Assistant Director, Financial and Resource Management Sub-branch and the Chief, Financial Management and Reporting Section regarding The Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution’s (CISR) budget, including its annual formulation and implementation, mid-year adjustments, and budget drive-down process.
Plans and coordinates with the Division of Finance to ensure timely and effective implementation of all budget and workforce activities and ensures the Division is in full compliance with schedules, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Provides cost benefit evaluation and analysis of proposed and actual budgetary information to ensure accuracy, prepares monthly detailed analysis of budget status reports, and develops variance reporting.
Performs in-depth analyses, prepares complex queries, and designs and develops reports that can efficiently and accurately meet informational needs.
Analyze and interprets data to develop insights that drive decision making for the division.
Gathers, organizes, analyzes, and interprets financial and operational data to answer questions, resolve business challenges, and monitor and track operational-related metrics.
Formulates broad goals for long or short-term management operations, develops and monitors the progress on goals and objectives, and works with FDIC representatives to implement and report progress.
Responsible for performing research and management analysis studies for the purpose of providing solutions to internal matters affecting the organization and recommends changes in controls, operational objectives, flow of work, and organizational policies, procedures, and structures.
Develops and designs presentations that interpret complex data and information into easily understood graphs, charts, or visual graphics.
Develops and maintains reporting solutions, such as Tableau dashboards, in response to management inquiries or identified business challenges.
Creates, prepares, and distributes various scheduled and ad hoc management reports, and responds to a wide variety of information requests.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience in at least one of the following numbered items.
Advising management on all elements of an office or division’s budget program (e.g., preparation, justification, submission, and implementation); or
Developing analytical models to generate management reports related to office or division performance; or
Developing workforce analysis to monitor, track, and predict staffing needs for an office or division; or
Coordinating strategic planning efforts for an office or division and developing, tracking, assessing, and reporting progress in achieving the Corporate and divisional business plan goals and objectives.
