About the Position: his position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Educational Resources Division, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA. Tacoma is a diverse city nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia. Tacoma is located on the shores of Commencement Bay, within pristine eyesight of Mount Rainier.

Duties
Coordinate the educational activities of the program and ensures program compliance with regulatory agency standards.
Maintain essential documents required for program viability.
Provide oversight of residency program compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
Coordinate communications between the hospital education department and residency program.
Administer in-training examination and prepares results of examination for review by faculty and trainees.
Manage residency applications and compiles reports as necessary.
Provide guidance and information to physicians-in-training, medical students, and operating officials.
Utilize computer/office equipment to conduct data entry/retrieval, type or transcribe correspondence, reports, narrative and statistical material from voice recordings, draft or oral instructions.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- All employees assigned to a Medical Treatment Facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations regardless of series, based on occupational risk, and are subject to missing/required immunizations in accordance with AR 40-562.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. The potential candidate(s) will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.

GS-06 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing administrative and clerical support duties such creating files, compiling, and retrieving data for reports using automated software. GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing administrative and clerical support duties such as such creating files, compiling, and retrieving data for reports using automated software; maintaining training schedules and course completion information for medical residency trainees . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service(GS-06).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Organization Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-08 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: performing full administrative and clerical support such as: Providing resources and support to educational leaders; maintaining training schedules and course completion information for medical residency trainees and retrieving data for reports using automated software. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service(GS-07).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
