About the Position: Serve as a Plans and Operations Specialist to plan, develop, revise and assist in proper execution of the Installation Deployment Support Plan for and emergency/non-emergency deployments.
Duties
Serves as Garrison point of contact for the installation deployment support plan.
Reviews selected on post response plans developed by other staff agencies for validity and consistency with established policies and procedures.
Serves as project officer for special assignments, exercise development and execution and projects received.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position may require incumbent to serve as shift leader, subject to be on-call during training and emergency operations, requiring shift, weekend, and extended hours.
- This position requires incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
- Position is designated as a "Key Position" in accordance with AR690-11. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the agency to function effectively.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating a variety of emergency/nonemergency plans such as Emergency Preparedness, Disaster Relief, Power Outage, etc., to maximize the effectiveness of operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Law, Industrial Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
