The incumbent of this position will provide technical advice, consultation, and support to customers and peers. He/She will review high level program plans and specifications. Participate in the preparation and evaluation of engineering studies. Participate in final designs and final cost estimates to support recommendations for modifications.

Duties

Performs multiple, varying and complex assignments under minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager. Acts as principal technical specialist or as a project manager or team leader for large work activities. Provides guidance to lower-level staff to address diverse, complex issues impacting the aviation/transportation industry. Works with Managers advising on the development of guidelines and standards, prepares points of view used in forecasting trends and formulating policy.
