About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate for Professional Education (DPE), Bio skills Training Department. The position is that of a simulation specialist, conducting simulation training, assisting with development and coordination of simulation curriculum, simulation scenario design and evaluation, and evaluation of courses designed.

Duties

Provide education opportunities that may or may not include low-to high simulation support for classes, training and exercises. Provide input to maintain Standards of Procedures (SOPs) for the simulation center. Work towards accrediting and maintaining the simulation center with Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSIH). Operate simulation equipment that is own by NMMCL and analysis to all educational and training opportunities in relation to simulation. Perform other duties as assigned.

• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing curriculum and training material for training and/or classes; design healthcare simulation scenarios for educational purposes; utilizing computer software to obtain and edit medical simulation data.
