About the Position: Serve as Personnel and Training Program Management Officer within the Directorate of Military Personnel Management (DMPM) Training Requirements Division, Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Coordinate all required adjustments to approved training programs to achieve current year recruiting, manning, personnel, and operational unit readiness requirements.
Prepare long range plans for HQDA staff principals concerning the Agency input to training mission.
Serve as the Training Requirements Division's Program Management Officer for new training initiatives that support Future Force readiness, Modernization, and Synchronization Meetings actioned by Senior Leader decisions.
Provide personnel management guidance in the development, coordination, documentation, testing and staffing of new courseware applications and training strategies.
Brief and negotiate with other commands and agencies, and functional proponents to determine strategies for
implementing personnel management variances and waivers.
Discuss alternative proposals with decision-making authorities to ensure the most effective and economic selection.
Analyze agency-wide concepts and requirements to link all aspects of personnel lifecycle management to personnel readiness and institutional training seat requirements.
Conduct research studies and data analytics to evaluate impacts on personnel readiness, training seat
requirements, resources, and training preparedness.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting fact finding studies to determine programs/projects to curtail or initiate within constrained budgets; assessing the impact of new initiatives on training and readiness; monitoring changes and reporting factors covered by training programs; representing leadership at strategic decision-making forums to ensure proposed training initiatives and strategies are executable and supportable. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
