About the Position: This position is located at Lackland Air Force Base. The incumbent will coordinate facility management for the 59th Medical Wing. The responsibilities of the position require maintenance of a safe and functional medical facility.

Duties

Facilitate repair projects with contractor or installation public works services. Ensure compliance with regulations and building standards to ensure safe and reliable operations of facility. Prepare estimates for repair, alterations, installation or construction to the facilities. Coordinate projects to maintain patient care buildings. Maintain facility information resources utilizing data management systems. Oversee maintenance services performed by contract.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
