About the Position: Serves as a command representative responsible for facilitating and conducting the analysis of mission/campaign requirements and taskings and develops detailed mission plans for the OTSG/MEDCOM in Falls Church, Virginia.

Duties

Performs a variety of analytical studies and provides advisory services involving military program, project, and contingency planning in accordance with mission guidance. Develops, adapts, modifies, rewrites, coordinates and implements long-term plans, strategies, policies and programs consistent with HQDA, DoD mission/operations plans, goals and guidance. Conducts in-progress reviews and coordinates resolution of problems with supervisors, action officers, and officials throughout various commands. Performs long-term trade-off analysis and recommends appropriate allocation of specific MEDCOM resources to achieve optimum MEDCOM support. Develops and updates information to be provided to the Army Surgeon General and MEDCOM staff, Army Medical Department (AMEDD) General Officers, Major Subordinate Commands and other Major Commands.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which that plans, manages, designs, develops, modifies, adapts, advises, programs and evaluates complex and technical systems relative to the development of operations; understanding of analytical and evaluative force management principles, concepts, and practices along with expert knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analyses; ability to use different analytical techniques and methods sufficient to conduct those processes that are required to accomplish the work of the position; and strong communication skills in both the written and oral forms sufficient to develop and deliver briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????12).
