About the Position: Provides management technical assistance, advice, and guidance on all Army Central Issue Facilities (CIF), Automated Central Issue Facility System (ACIFS), Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE), Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) and Army Military Clothing Sales Stores (AMCSS) matters.
Duties
Serve as the Army technical supply management consultant on all matters relating to CIF, CIIP, AMCSS, and ACIF.
Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and providing policy guidance and technical advice regarding distribution functions including receiving, storage, issue, stock readiness, packaging, assembly processes, and special missions.
Interprets policy and provides a standard interpretation of systems, missions, and procedures to distribution center commanders.
Prepares analytical studies concerning new or revised supply methods, techniques, and procedures.
Work and communicates with clients and customers (e.g. any individuals who use or receive the services or products that work unit provides, including individuals who work in your agency or in other agencies or organizations outside the government).
Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short-or-long-term goals and strategies to achieve them.
Coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement up to 15% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) conducting supply/inventory management of clothing and/or related supplies/materials; and 2). assisting with the development/implementation of organization guidance, policies and/or procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above]).
