About the Position: This is a TERM NTE (2 years) position located with US Army Central, G32 Personnel Recovery Section, Shaw AFB, SC.
ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".
This is an Obligated Position.
Duties
Serves as Subject Matter Expert in all areas of PR to include: Unconventional Assisted Recovery, Non-Conventional Assisted Recovery; Civil, Military, and Diplomatic Recovery.
Serves as an action officer for short-term assigned projects and programs related to functional areas.
Provides PR planning support to all operational and contingency planning missions. Responsible for reviewing all PR plans in support of exercises and missions and assists in the development of PR Annex's for all OPORDS, CONPLANS, and OPLANS.
Oversees training and training evaluation tracking for PR requirements for operations in support of Combatant Commanders policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is an Emergency Essential position.
- This is a Designated Drug testing position.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state's driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain certification in: (1) The Joint Personnel Recovery Agency PR-102; (2) Fundamentals of Personnel Recovery of JPRAA PR 296 Reintegration Team Responsibilities; Joint Personnel Recovery Agency PR-301;
- (3) Personnel Recovery Plans Operations Course; (4) Graduate of a Department of Defense accredited SERE Level C Course and (5) PR297 Joint Personnel Recovery De-briefer, or JPRA PR397 Joint Personnel Recovery Advanced De-briefer Course.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, planning and executing personnel recovery operations utilizing theater combat and support structure and directing personnel recovery analytics, operational methods, and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
