About the Position: This position is with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Support Services Division. This is a TERM position, being filled as a Not to exceed Temporary Promotion or Detail from this announcement.

Duties

Complete cursory review of position descriptions to ensure compliance with position management and classification principles. Confirm accuracy of information in official Requests to Fill (RTF) such as position paragraph and line number, position description number. Provide training and assistance on civilian personnel matters to managers and supervisors. Interpret new and updated human resource management directives, policies, procedures, requirements for managers. Provide accurate and timely processing of various requests for personnel actions (RPAs) in multiple databases and other HR actions to higher headquarters and external agencies. Review proposed workforce management and official structure actions for accuracy, objectivity, completeness, and sustainability. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders on workforce planning initiatives and actions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent may be required to serve a 1-year Term Trial Period.
  • This is a Term position NOT TO EXCEED (NTE) 13 Months and may be extended up to a total of six years.
  • This is an obligated position.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experiencewhich includes initiating recruitment and selection process for servicing organizations, advise management on personnel regulations and administrative practices, and monitor recruitment status to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Personnel and Human ResourcesTechnical CompetenceWorkforce Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
