About the Position:
Serves as technical expert in conducting management manpower studies, organizational mission and function studies, and special management studies for the Assistant Secretary of Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
Conducting complex analysis of Army-wide programs focusing on Army manpower requirements management programs.
Recommending changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods, and procedures.
Integrating management program objectives into agency concepts of management and operations.
Attending meetings with key staff officials concerning manpower issues or ongoing studies and analyses.
Reviewing and analyzing existing or proposed policies and procedures in terms of manpower resource implications.

Specialized Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: analyzing organizational missions, functions, and structures; utilizing analysis to make recommendations for efficient organizational design and workflow; using information-based analysis to make recommendations to leadership; utilizing analytical tools such as process maps to establish, revise and increase productivity and product quality. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
