About the Position: Serves as the technical expert for Medical Logistics (ML) mobilization planning in support of Regionally Aligned Readiness and Modernization Model (ReARMM) within the Medical Readiness Command (MRC) and subordinate activities in the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM).
Duties
Coordinates with the Medical Readiness Command (MRC) directorates on all Medical Logistics (ML) planning for the region.
Identifies systemic, operational medical logistics problems and seeks causes and remedies for such problems and deficiencies.
Serve as subject matter expert on equipment lifecycle management processes and projects related to Acquisition, Accountability, Maintenance, and Disposition.
Manages information on the status of planning, expediting, tracking, and overall logistics management for movements of Class VIII, medical equipment maintenance, and medical support personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Mission Essential position. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinates medical logistics readiness for mobilization and logistics planning for contingency operations AND utilizes medical supply systems such as the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) System to extract reports and analyze data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
