About the Position: Serves as a Training Instructor for the 428th FA Bde, FCOE located at Fort Sill, OK.
Duties
Deliver standardized course materials in classroom setting.
Apply a combination of instructional methods and techniques.
Work with the senior trainer to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to teach the theory and practical application of large-scale weaponry (e.g., Multiple Launch Rocket (MLRS) and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS)).
Keep abreast of new trends in education and training principles.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.
- A valid state driver’s license.
- A success completion of a physical examination is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conduct training sessions for a military organization on the application of large-scale weaponry (e.g., Multiple Launch Rocket (MLRS) and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS)); 2) Suggest course modifications as a result of new developments; 3) Participate in reviewing training materials to ensure learning objectives are organized and effective.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Adult Education.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
