This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity (CPI). As a Health Insurance Specialist (Program Integrity), GS-0107-13, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing a wide range of program integrity initiatives that support CMS' lines of business through comprehensive program integrity reviews.

Duties

Serve as an expert in the development, evaluation, and implementation of policies related to program integrity initiatives. Oversee and execute administrative studies, projects, and assignments designed to identify, monitor, and address program vulnerabilities. Analyze, develop, implement, and modify operating policy and procedures relating to program integrity. Attend meetings and conferences with CMS staff and serve as a source of background data on the basis of research performed in preparation for the meetings and conferences.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
