You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Research & Development Business Analysis Division, Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will serve as a business partner to the Director of Energetics, leading and supervising a team of business and financial analysts.
You will work closely with the Director to identify future requirements and employ risk mitigation strategies to serve the Energetics community.
You will be an integral part of the team and relied upon to assist in building strategies and solving problems.
You will provide overall coordination, consultation, planning, policy, and assessment related to the business and financial requirements for Energetics.
You will interpret and apply DOD Financial Management Regulations, appropriations law, Navy and local policies.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following:1) Demonstrating knowledge of Navy ERP and the financial formulation and execution processes; 2) Extracting information from ERP and providing data analysis using Excel formats; 3) Developing and managing the execution of budgets, as well as making recommendations when required; 4) Interpreting customer requirements and providing written and oral communication across all levels of leadership; 5) Utilizing experience in mentoring and supervising employees, including directing and prioritizing work assignments.
