Duties
The incumbent serves as the Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO), Engineering and Solutions Development group, and reports directly to the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO), Technology Delivery, under cognizance of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the OCIO organization. As Associate CIO for the Engineering and Solutions Development group, the incumbent provides leadership, management, direction, and advocacy so the organization may effectively manage IT modernization, system engineering, enhanced cloud services, aligning with the cyber and cybersecurity related risks overall to the FCC enterprise.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time in grade restrictions do not apply to Direct Hire procedures.
GS-15
In order to be deemed as qualified, candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as follows:
1. Experience leading, managing, directing or supervising IT staff. 2. Experience providing expert advice on engineering strategies, cloud technologies and adoption, enterprise technologies, system integration, data services and system modernization.3. Experience providing expert advice and guidance on the design, development and evaluation of IT initiatives, systems and/or processes.4. Experience improving IT engineering processes and procedures.5. Experience communicating IT engineering issues to leadership and providing recommendations and solutions on how to resolve such issues.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
