To provide a qualified logistic planner to function as a part of Headquarters AFDWA4 in developing and writing plans, programs, support agreements and policies, plus organizing and executing the Air Force planning process.
Duties
Installation Deployment officer(IDO) for wartime slash contingency and/or exercise deployment
Manage the AFDW deployment support requirements using the Global Command and Control system (GCCS), Logistics Module TG3 (LOGMOD TG3), Contingency Operation Mobility Planning, and Execution system (COMPES), and other command and control systems affecting AFDW, HQ USAF, AFELMs, and/or its tenant unit
Command level functional Area Manager (FAM)for HQ USAF and selected forward operating agencies (FOAs)
Serves as a focal point and provides programs management concerning administrative and logistical support requirements rendered or received by AFDW units at the pentagon, NCR in Bolling AFB
Serves as a MAJCOM in base level support agreements manager in accordance with AFI 25-201 and Interservice Coordinator in accordance with DoDI 4000.19
Accomplishes special projects assigned by the director of AFDWA4 and/or deputy AFDWA4 pertaining to various areas of planning programming and/or other related functions
Prepares necessary correspondence documentation completes reports etc

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and equivocal methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the program operations towards development and or improvement of critical command plans and programs for conducting major operations such as war, mobilization, rescue, mission in flying operations, deployment, rescues, foreign military sales, acquisitions, PBS, special operations, or similar operations. knowledge of military command structure missions' programs and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives the sequence and timing of key operation events and milestones in methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events. Knowledge of various command entities involved an overall planning and execution of operations and evaluations
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and or quantitative methods to participate in assessment and improvement of command level plans and programs for conducting major operations such as war, mobilization, deployment, PPBS, exercise, foreign military sales, acquisitions, special operations, rescue, or similar operations
Knowledge of air force and command program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of the key operational events and milestones, in methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events
Knowledge of the relationship of various command and entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations
Skill and designing and conducting comprehensive studies in preparing solutions to resolve substantive problems issues of effectiveness and efficiently of work operations and major command program
Ability to plan, organize and negotiate effectively with senior analysts in management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources and require extensive change is in established concepts and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing negotiate complex issues: and maintain good working relationships.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
