The minimum salary for grade GS-11 is $69,107.00, the maximum salary is $102,166.00.
The minimum salary for grade GS-12 is $82,830.00, the maximum salary is $122,459.00.
The salary reflected is the minimum for the GS-11 and the highest for the GS-12 across the advertised sites.
Duties
The duties, described below, represent the major duties performed at the GS-12 level. The duties performed for developmental positions will be of limited scope and complexity to develop skills, proficiency, and work experience.
Provides financial management advice and assistance to directorates in identifying problem areas involving regulatory requirements, statutory provisions, procedures, systems, or problems from changes in mission, programs, or organizational structure.
Analyzes, plans, and evaluates directorate functions to determine validity, propriety, accuracy, and adequacy of work processes.
Plans, develops, and coordinates financial management improvements necessary to comply with agency, Treasury and other governing bodies’ requirements.
Evaluates system, policy and program requirements and identifies the need for revisions and enhancements.
Reviews and analyzes a variety of reports received from internal and external sources, including reports produced by automated systems.

Qualifications
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service. To be considered for the GS-12, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09 if applying at the GS-11 level, or GS-11 if applying at the GS-12 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
To be hired at the GS-11 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service analyzing financial or accounting operations to recommend process improvements; monitoring and evaluating financial systems to identify weaknesses and ensure compliance with internal controls; and analyzing the impact of applicable laws and regulations on an organization's financial policies, operations and systems and recommending changes to maintain compliance.
To be hired at the GS-12 entry grade level, applicants must minimally have:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service performing extensive analysis and evaluation of financial policies, procedures, systems and regulations to ensure the continuity of a financial organization's business operations and adherence to established financial legislation and operational policies; recommend improvements to financial program operations; and providing substantial financial management knowledge to leadership in order to assist with the organization's core mission.

Education
GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
