Duties

Please Note: Employees will be required to report to their assigned office location at least 2 day per week for non-supervisory positions and 3 days per week for supervisory/managerial positions unless the position advertised is designated as a remote-only position. EXIM's Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic developmental program with the potential to lead to a civil service career in the Federal Government. The primary responsibilities of the position are to perform higher level financial specialist's duties and assist the supervisor in: pulling data directly out of the Bank's financial systems/databases, executing data fixes in the financial system once they are identified, accurate inputting financial data, and adding analytical bandwidth to the Division as necessary. At the full performance level, duties include, but are not limited to: Portfolio Data Management:

Qualifications

Recent Graduate Eligibility: Individuals who have obtained a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years. OR Veterans (as defined in 5 U.S.C. 2108) who were unable to apply within 2 years of obtaining a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution due to their military service obligation. Veterans have a full 2-year eligibility period to apply upon his/her release or discharge from active duty. The eligibility period for veterans must be within 6 years of degree completion. In addition to the Recent Graduate and Basic Requirement Eligibilities noted above, applicants must also meet one of the following: Specialized Experience (Credit for Specialized Experience on resume must reflect 40 hours/Full-time per week for each period of work): To qualify for the GS-09, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Government or other equivalent pay systems. Specialized experience includes: Experience in using spreadsheet software necessary for financial analysis; Experience extracting financial data from data warehouses and other sources; and Experience in interpreting economic, statistical, or financial data for analytical purposes. OR Substitution of Education for Experience: You may substitute education for the specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level by possessing two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree or Master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Combination of Experience and Education: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the GS-07 grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at the GS-09 grade level. Therefore, only education in excess of one full year of graduate level education may be used to combine education and experience. ****NOTE: You must submit proof of your education at the time of application in order to receive consideration.***** Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
