About the Position: Serves as the US Army Medical Command's Financial Analyst under the general supervision of the Division Chief and oversight by the team leader who provides general priorities and broad objectives to be achieved by the organization in the deployment and training of the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Incumbent is the senior staff analyst under the team leader performing accounting analysis, reconciliation, and surveillance of resource management and accounting processes for MEDCOM, ACSRM, Finance and Accounting Division in a team concept.
Responsible for analyzing Resource Management processes and developing the strategy to integrate RM processes with information management systems.
Provides technical advice to the GFEBS Project Officer concerning policies, plans, requirements and objectives of Army GFEBS deployment support programs.
Drafts policies on matters, which are not clearly the responsibility of a specific segment.
Coordinates with Regional Accountants and Activities to establish the training plan and configuration.
Interprets regulations and directives promulgated by higher authority covering a variety of resource management disciplines and uses this information to establish, prepare, and disseminate policy and guidance to customers.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial documents and reports, recommending solutions to difficult and complex problems; providing routine level guidance for accounts receivable and accounts payable processes; utilizing automation systems such as Financial Management Information System (FMIS), Contractor Module, or RSBUX Resource Summary System; resolve a variety of non-routine problems related to the management system, AND attending conferences, seminars, and educational meetings to stay informed of current and proposed financial management techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
