This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Executive Operations Staff (EOS). .
As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-9, you will perform a variety of assignments utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis to review and evaluate human capital management and administrative practices.
Duties
Research and coordinate decisions involving employment and position management functions.
Prepare necessary briefing materials to present data, options and recommendations to the EOS Director and CMMI managers.
Serve as a liaison on human resources issues between CMMI managers and the Office of Human Capital (OHC) to help identify and assist in the resolution of complex HR matters.
Develop new or modify existing administrative policies and procedures within EOS and CMMI to improve management and/or program efficiency.
Develop, in conjunction with CMMI staff and other CMS centers/offices, short-term project plans, manage projects as assigned, ensure logistics are handled smoothly, identifying bottlenecks and resolve issues within the scope of authority.

- This is a remote position; however, the position reports to a CMS Office on a periodic basis. Requirements to report to the office will vary and can be discussed at the time of interview.

In order to qualify for the GS-09, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: (1) Assisting management on human capital topics related to staffing/placement or recruitment. AND (2) Reviewing administrative processes and procedures to recommend improvements. AND (3) Assisting in developing organizational or operational reports on findings, recommendations, or implementation plans for administrative operations..

Substitution of Education for Experience: You may substitute education for specialized experience at the GS-09 level by possessing a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled.
- OR -
Combination of Experience and Education: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the GS-07 grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at the grade GS-09. Therefore, only education in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education may be used to combine education and experience.
