You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Large Surface Combatant (DDG(X)) Program Office of Team Ships of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
Duties
You will provide logistics support to designated programs/projects managed for the DDG(X) program while taking into consideration the unique logistics requirements associated with the DDG(X) program.
You will have full Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management responsibility for the total assigned ship, boat or craft programs ILS planning, implementation management functions during all phases of the applicable acquisition.
You will be responsible for the initial identification of an operational requirement through the turnover of management responsibility for the complete ship to the applicable operational customer.
You will identify and determinate all ILS requirements for maintenance, technical data (Technical Manuals), supply support (configuration and spares identification), outfitting, training, etc.
You will be responsible for total Integrated Logistics Support planning including development of requirements, implementation and execution of logistics requirements.

You will be responsible for planning, developing, integrating, implementing and managing effective and affordable logistics support strategies that can be supported throughout the acquisition and life cycle of assigned programs or project.
You will support applicable customers and determine resources necessary to support the acquisition from concept through the life cycle including responsibility for establishing outfitting budget requirements.
You will develop and evaluate alternative logistic approaches and strategies for acquisitions and identifies innovations and initiatives necessary to enhance logistics support effectiveness.
You will communicate orally and in writing: preparing briefing material, correspondence, point and issue papers on complex and non-complex logistics issues in support of assigned programs or projects.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing acquisition plans and milestones for the procurement of components; directing the implementation and execution of program plans; identifying resource requirements; monitoring operations to improve logistics support time; monitoring logistics funds distributions or expenditures for projects or programs; coordinating and
integrating separate logistics functions for efficient and timely logistics support for an acquisition program.
