The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.

Duties

Verify proof of need to know and degree of clearance required of industrial visitors. Serve as a Security Specialist for the US Army DEVCOM Armaments Center Industrial Security program Provide input on operating standards concerning industrial security issues to the Command to ensure compliance. Interact with the staff on all matters of security related to sensitive or classified information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Three-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) Prepare and review DD Form 254s and similar forms for verifying security requirements which are included in contracts to ensure security are requirements in contract documentation to prevent compromise, sabotage, and espionage. 2) Plan, develop, and implement industrial security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of Industrial security programs. 3) Provide technical advice and guidance to contracting staff and other contracting agencies that award and/or administer contracts for Industrial Security Programs and activities in order to ensure the protection of classified and sensitive national defense information.
