The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Incumbent plans, directs, and coordinates force protection, security plans, and operations for DEVCOM Armaments Center, to include physical, personnel, industrial, information, Continuity of Operations (COOP), and operational security.
Incumbent demonstrates responsibility for the security program strategies, planning, development, management, implementation and oversight to include oversight of Special Access Programs of subordinate organizations, regions, and activities.
Maintain oversight of special access programs and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) management.
Incumbent identifies vulnerabilities within the organization’s security program(s) and develops preventative measures and training to combat and reinforce compliance.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
- Supervisory Two-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Business travel is required up to 25%.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

- Three -year trial probationary period maybe required.

Specialized experience is defined as work that involves 1) participation in complex security administration activities (such as standing up a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF); handling high level security related personnel issues; advising senior management on major issues/resolution to critical security concerns, etc).; 2) administering the varying aspects of a robust security and intelligence program including TS/SCI activities and 3) experience leading a team or working group in a security-related program or project. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (DE-03/GS-13).You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
